Ticks
Can spread many serious diseases, including Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever.
Ticks have four life cycle stages: egg, larva, nymph and adult. The complete life cycle can take from 3 months to 2 years to complete. Hard ticks are the most common types of ticks to infest dogs and cats. There is a tick species active for at least part of the year in every region of the United States.

Sarcoptic Mites
Sarcoptic mange is caused by burrowing mites that tunnel into the skin and cause an intense inflammatory reaction. Constant scratching results in hair loss and damage to the skin over the entire body. Scabs form and secondary bacterial infection usually occurs.
